Game Freezing After Loading In

    Hello!

    My crew of four are all having trouble playing SoT currently. After loading into the tavern, each of our games freeze in exactly the same manner. It has only been since the latest update. Any help is appreciated!

    permanent freeze or does it fix itself after a couple/few minutes?

    there is a fps freeze thing that happens when a person hops a lot or at least is most noticeable when people hop a lot

    Hey there. This is happening to me today, too.

    Was not happening before. Does anyone have any confirmation? FPS drops to zero and it freezes after joining a game. Updated all drivers, so it feels like a Server performance / sync thing.

    Getting the same issue - it's like major lag - every minute or so, I move a bit, but then freeze again. I'll try logging in and leaving it, but it's really discouraging, and there's no notice or bug alert or anything that I could find outside of this forum post, the server status page indicates all is well.

    Same problem, complete freeze every 5 seconds. Had no issues last night but booted up this morning and hard freeze for 10-15 seconds every 5 seconds. Drivers updated, windows updated.

    Same here,

    as I read on reddit it seems to be a problem with windows store/xbox app (gamepass&bought). afaik it works on steam.

    Same. The problem doesn't stop eather, and the loading time is horrible to get into a server.

    Getting the same thing. Gpu and Cpu usage is dropping to 0% when it's frozen.

    Seems to make the game unable to download as well, friend tried to uninstall/reinstall due to this freezing and he's unable.

    @musicmee Having the same issue, it may even be hardware/driver related because my PC BSoD'd when I re-launched the game.

    So, my theory is either Storm Barra has affected Azure servers in Western Europe...

    Or it's related to the Halo Infinite campaign release somehow.

    A friend of mine in the Netherlands was able to play without issues on the MS Store version, so that's what makes me wonder if it is the storm? Hmmmm...

    Hope the team figure it out, either way. Their hard work is appreciated.

    Well, I was way off.... Turns out the issue was Achievement notifications? That's an odd one... Nice touch on also showing this info in-game on the main menu, Rare. I like that.

    Just logged in to check, and can confirm that it seems to be fixed. In game a few minutes now and no freezes.

    Indeed. I know we probably won't get one, but would love to see a technical post mortem on how this happened and was identified even. I love reading things like that.

    I do too even though I stopped having any idea what was going on with technology in like 2006

    I wonder if people with 100% achievements were excluded from the issues
