Black Dog Briar bug.

    Getting frustrating now....fourth time through Captains of the damned 2. I get to the black dog briar fight, I get some good damage on him and he seems to just vanish.
    No dialogue no mission cues, the beacons dont light up and the compass just points me to a spot on the beach. I don't know what to do.
    Any help?

    Even just got under the map to see if he glitched out...nothing (Theres a spot on the left side of the island to get through.
