vr compatibility in the games

Ahoy! I think VR would be incredibly unique for Sea of Thieves, but they would have to make it a different experience if it were to happen. Let me break the idea down, VR would probably need to have separate servers and a different setup for the game. Maybe they can make a story mode available on VR that has no ties to the game itself. The idea is doable but deserves its foundation for the game. I don't see it working by just setting up a VR and playing with the other platforms. The combat would be different, the sailing, and even the voyage experience. Again, doable but deserves a whole separate execution. I love the idea! Happy sailing!

Yes, my crew and I think the only way this would be enjoyable is if it gets its set up like a personal story or VR server. It can't just be a simple VR with the other platforms.

@og-chaos5508 i don't say they have to change completly the gameplay, just associate the controler in vr and change the camera by the headset some games actually do that like, subnautica, or elite dangerous but i know that will be a very long project to setup and cost a lot for a minority a people playing vr
yes they can also create server for vr only
but they can make it for everyone like in phasmophobia

in they choice of controler 3 solution

-controller by the pad and mouse (the most easier for dev, because you just use headset to see but nothing change about the controler

-controler by the associate vr controller realistic ( remake the most of interaction by item, cannon, map, quest ect into a vr option
and not a mouse or joystick interaction) this the most difficult to built but the best expérience in vr

-controler by the associate vr controller (not really use controler vr for thing just press buton like the pad and interact with the joystick ( medium to built)

no its not for xbox its for pc player ;) vr doesn't exist on xbox but if you have an xbox and you want to play with people using vr you can download rec room

but also yes that correct but the game is on steam you don't have to be on xbox pc app to have it also steam provides vr games, and existing app ( not really good for this year) can make sea of theaves in vr(its very ugly and unplayable and not optimised) but its still exist

Unfortunately Rare said that they don't want anyone to have a FoV of more than 90 and you cant use VR with only 90 FoV, so this idea will probably get shut down.
