Can you still buy chests to carry loot items or is that no more?

If you're talking about just an empty treasure chest, those have never been purchasable.

It's been requested before and I'm surprised they haven't made it a purchasable item yet.

The closest you can get right now to a purchasable one would be to buy an Ashen Chest voyage from Larinna, dig it up, and then buy an Ashen Key Voyage from Larinna and dig that up. Unlock it, and boom you have a usable chest... it'll just cost you 150 doubloons.

Or sail over to a nearby (active) Sea Fort and grab the empty treasure chest that spawns at each one of those.

@sweetsandman For a time you where able to from the gold hoarders. They only cost about 200 gold If memory serves right. kind of like you are able to buy commodities from the merchants.. guess they got rid of it during my few months break from SoT.

@tenkaar As someone who has played since day one. That has never been an option. However it has always been highly requested. The closest option you have to buying a treasure chest would be to buy both an ashen chest and ashen key voyage so that gives you a collector's chest of sorts.

You must’ve had one long dream about buyable chest because that has never happened on both retail or insider as far I remember.
The only thing that been buyable was resource crate, cannonball, wood, fruit and the commodities

I would like to see the chest to be purchasable
