Me and my friend thought it would be so much fun to have a new ship the size of the black pearl. It would be called the Man-o-war. It would be a 3 tier ship with two floors of cannons. It should hold 6-8 people it would add so much fun to the game.

@lackbarwastaken I personally would love to see everyone on a server crammed onboard one container sized ship. What's not to like about that?

That everyone on the NA server has to sail on, open crew, all at once.
@hijack-hayes I've been so blind! Just make one humongous ship that is the entire server! get rid of the ocean and the islands etc. It would be so fun!
Although I think it'd be cool and would absolutely love to see it, it would hurt the flow and balance of the game. Captain Falcore made an insightful video about it, I'll post the link below:

You know why there won't be a bigger ship in the game? Because of the biggest issue with it: BALANCE!
On a solo sloop against a galleon, so 1vs4, is hard but doable...1vs6-8 people? No thank you
Then, if balanced right, that bigger ship needs to be slower against the wind...so practicly going backwards
Then, how often do you have more than 3 friends to play with at the same time? How many people in general would play it...galleon is already pretty rare...@barkingworm @k9havoc9245 heres the delio. man o war is a big issue for many reasons, most of which have been addressed, quick rundown is A. server stability. the current servers can only support, i believe its 6 ships right now, but its always changing. so having a giant 8 person ship would mean there could only be about 2 of those per server and that would be it, which in rares words would limit encounters with other pirates. B it is a giiiiant balancing issue and would require re tweaking of islands and outposts because they are too big for a big ship although yes the concept and designe of the 8 crew ship have been talked about by captain whats his name lord farquaad, the turning rate, cannon amount, hole amount, mast amount and damage are all considerations.

...and yes, these are actual threads I saw in the past hour (see links above). 🤣I really don't know who would enjoy using a huge ship like that. Playing on a galleon is already quite painful enough. Repairs is a pain, handling sails is a torture and to top all of that you get people in open crew who barely listen to anything, leave after some time and then you're guaranteed to not have a replacement for them for hours due to weird matchmaking.
If anything I'd like to see more smaller types of ships for 1-3 crew.
