Lot of people have obligations during holiday weekends. Having a G&G weekend on Fathers day weekend is a head scratcher......

@z3phlar sadly matey, there will always be issues with specific weekends for specific players.
Remember as well that not everyone gets the weekend off; especially if shift working or on a different type of job (hospitality for example).Just because it is father's day doesn't mean everyone will be on "holiday". Also; it isn't father's day everywhere in the world on Sunday:

there will be camping and bbq's around but a lot of people aren't going to be able to get out much because of the prices being high on things.
Personally I think it's a fitting weekend for a lot of people that play the game.
I’m a dad and I sail with my kids and I totally plan to do some thieving with ‘em on Fathers Day!
Now if all those other pirates would just let me have my Father of the Day (see what I did there?) in peace….
Also it already started in the US so there’s a solid Friday afternoon/evening and Saturday even if you have to burn your Sunday givin’ Pops his annual day of tribute.
