Auto sprint option for controller users

  • I'd like to see an auto-sprint option added for console/controller users - for one it would help greatly in prolonging thumbstick life instead of constantly having to push forward on the left stick while running or swimming large distances.

In PUBG (on console) for example, double tapping the sprint key (left thumbstick by default) will set your character into an auto-sprint where you no longer need to push the thumbstick forward - the sprint can then be cancelled by pressing any other button.

I think this would be a really nice QOL feature for us controller players. Cheers, G.

  • So pretty much. You want to run all the time. :/

  • So there is an auto forward function it's just unmapped by default, I've put it on right stick so it will keep you either walking or sprinting whichever. It means you can leave it going on capstan to raise anchor and you can use for long swims, I do find though you will often end up swimming into your Mermaid and getting stuck if you leave entirely

90% of the time, yes - you don't? Only time i walk is doing the old role play walk to the Mysterious Stranger with an Athena 😂

  • @burnbacon you wouldnt sprint all the time. If you wanted to walk you would just point the stick nearly from like 1-80%, anything more is sprinting. its in most modern games.
