Every time my game crashes -what happens from time to time- all my loot in my inventory is gone + the buff bar from buff food is gone too.
Is there a possibility, that the client/server could safe this information when you reconnect to your session?
It's very frustrating, when you had a full inventory with rare stuff like fishes, buff food or rare cannonballs or/and was fully buffed with food...

Already a system in place to reconnect. But not to regain the stuff you lost. (In your inventory)
Health regen is easy to regain and the stuff in your inventory. Besides curse balls and some food the rest are easy to refill
Losing good food and curseballs does suck, and chainshot if limited. Especially since the instances of being randomly booted seem to have increased since last few updates (from personal and observational anecdote based on seeing others reporting)
Since the correct tactic is to generally hold curses to prevent others from stealing them, dcs used to be relatively rare for me but now maybe 1 in 3 sessions get a random dc (there could be some negative bias here exaggerating as things like this always stand out more in your mind)

So, you're not actually interested in discussion, but just want an echo chamber.
Inventory doesn't save because normally, when you load into a game you're supposed to be starting fresh. It's unfortunate that you are losing inventory due to constant crashes, but if I was you, my biggest priority would be finding the source of the crashes. Complaining about minutia just makes it seem like your priorities are completely out of order.

Sure I am interested in discussion, but you misunderstood my statement.
It is clear what intention it is, when you start the game fresh with an empty inventory, I am not saying something about that.
I pinpoint to disconnects and crashes. I don't see any problems there why it shouldn't be implemented. The new system should only intervene, when you got a crash or a disconnect.
The problem is, I'm not the only one who got those crashes as you can read. Btw, all of my friends got those crashes too, from time to time. So this is not something what happens only on my computer.
And the fact that other people say that this is a problem, shows me, there are people who need help with that and I offer a suggestion to a solution, that's all.
I agree with inventory or health buff not being there when you rejoin, always been that way.
Myself and many people I play with and have met ingame have all had multiple crashes. This started happening after the adventure update and happens at any time.
One thing I did find odd and annoying today was, I dug up a vault chest and as I was just getting to the shoreline the game crashed.
I rejoined and respawn on my ship and went to get the chest but it was GONE.
I even went back to where I dug it up but nothing.
Not only did I lose my inventory (no big deal) but I also lost the chest with the vault key I was carrying.
I've submitted a ticket, so hopefully will hear back from Rare at some point.
I've tried hard resetting console, cleared cache and reinstalling, but nothing helps.
