For the better part of a week and a half, I get a Lavenderbeard Error on launch, I tried to change networks, Uninstall and reinstall (multiple times), and none of these have fixed the issue, the error makes the game completely unplayable. anybody else having this issue, or know how to fix it. Thanks.
An Unfixable Lavender Beard error.
@koduzz Lavenderbeard typically occurs when the user applies some network manipulation (VPN/tunneling, IP changes) without reapplying the new credentials. The easiest solution is:
Delete Xbox Live tokens which can be found in the Credentials Manager. The steps required are detailed below:
- Click the Start button from the bottom Left corner of Windows and type Credentials Manager then press Enter.
- Once viewing the Credentials Manager, click the Windows Credentials button.
- Find Entries labelled Xbl_Ticket
- Left click any with 1717113201 in the name and select Remove
- Sign back in to Sea of Thieves
If reissuing auth tokens does not fix your beard error, then make sure that your firewall is giving SOTgame.exe the appropriate access.
@koduzz Normal/simple fix for LavenderBeard is to log out of your Xbox/MS account from the Main Menu and Sign back in.
I am not 100% certain, but I also had an error trying to play the game a month ago and I thought that I just logged on during maintenance at first. I think it was lavanderbeard but not sure. I tried many things to fix it nothing worked, but the solution was very simple - I just had to restart my router.
