this is where the changing environment is far more annoying than interesting imo

imo it shouldn't lead things just sitting there and interfering negatively with significant parts of people's sessions, especially for the (imo) ridiculous amount of time that it has been.

Hunter's Call will likely get HQ at New Golden Sands for the contribution in the war, and considering the fortification, Merrick himself might be stationed there eventually. Just give Derrick a girlfriend, or skip right to Merrick's grandson and place them at Stephen Spoils.

So what? Sailors are notorious for having a gal at every port. Give him a girlfriend and put her there. 🤣

Give her some cheeky text that implies she's his girlfriend but doesn't state it.

Merricks family is the living joke of having endless vaguely related members with roughly similar sounding names. Of all the groups in the sea of thieves, they are the one most able to randomly be created and placed pretty much anywhere. You could even copy one, put a beard on it, male or female and adjust the name slightly, as it would keep with the joke. The fact we are still missing a member after...half a year is it now? really blows my mind. The turn in location is non functional and that's a real in game issue that cries out for urgent attention.

If one of the outposts had, say, no working gold hoarder or sovereign, i figure that would be fixed in, at most, a few days. Heck, a missing emporium npc would be quickly dealt with and you don't really even need to interact with them as the emporium works fine from the main menus.
