I had an idea the other day for a Bilge Rat voyage: a Wayfinder Voyage that leads you to a vault stocked with Saphire, Emerald, and Ruby Mermaid Gems instead of treasure chests. I thought this quest would work as a Bilge Rat voyage because it would be another avenue for us to spend our doubloons, and since gems can be exchanged anywhere (Gold Hoarder, Order of Souls, Merchant Alliance...etc), I thought it would make sense if you could only buy these quests from a neutral location (Larinna).
I figured that this quest type would use the existing vaults already in the game, with the only difference being the puzzle element of the Gold Hoarder Wayfinder Voyages turned off. This would allow players to focus on collecting as many gems in the main chamber as possible before the door closes.
I'm not sure how many doubloons this could cost, or how easy/hard it may be to complete, but I thought this voyage could be a unique and different way to acquire Mermaid Gems.
