One Piece Crossover

  • Rare, do you want FREE MONEY? I'm talkin many bands, racks and bricks. I'm talkin UNLIMITED FUNDS. Bounds of CASH? Loads of LOOT? Tons of TREASURE? Millions of DOUBLOONS? Lots of SHEKELS? Copious amounts of GOLD? A heap of RICHES? A slew of WEALTH? An abundance of DOUGH? A severe increase in FINANCES? A bonanza of BREAD? A whole lotta GREEN? Considerable amounts of BANKROLLS? A real life INFINITE MONEY CHEAT CODE?

Well, you can do that with one simple thing...

    A One Piece Crossover.

Now, on some serious stuff, I know I'm simplifying it a lot, but I know that this crossover would probably take a lot of coaxing from the owners of One Piece. I've seen a lot of games do crossovers with animes nowadays. Some examples would be how Naruto, My Hero Acedamia, and Jujustu Kaisen were added to Fortnite and PUBG is currently doing a crossover with Dragon Ball. Those western studios are opening up to the eastern world. If companies tried to do this, like, 10 years ago, I don't think things would have worked out the same way that things worked out now.

Now would also be a great Idea to do the One Piece crossover soon, since the man that developed said he wanted to end One Piece soon, and since it would probably take a month or more to do the crossover, now would be a good time to start working on it, in case One Piece comes to an abrupt end. It would also be good to start now while there is hype around One Piece as it is an ongoing anime, where as if you started and dropped after One Piece ended, there wouldn't be as much hype.

    MO HYPE = MO MONEY

I should probably be more specific as to what would be in the collab. I would be totally fine if the collab would only have skins and cosmetics when the crossover first releases. It doesn't even have to be that many cosmetics. All I'm sayin is that the first wave of stuff that you would drop with the collab would be useful at drawing people's attention towards the collab and keep the initial hype up. You would then have to either make more cosmetics, a new weapon/game mechanic/feature, or a tall tale. The tall tale is definitely the hardest option by a long shot. The resources you would need for that, as well as just waiting in general for permission from the developers of One Piece would take a lot of time, so I would go with the weapon/feature/mechanic route if I were you.

This project might take a ton of money, but a lot of people out there have really wanted this collab for a long time. The people that play this game and love this anime would be mighty surprised and happy if this collab actually happened. I think it is high time that Luffy and the gang saw the Sea of Thieves for themselves.

Anyway, I think that concludes my goofy ahh 6th grade-type essay on why Sea of Thieves should do a collab with One Piece. I hope me and the rest of the community can convince you that this is an amazing idea.

    Lots of Love - TinyFoxtato

P.S. - (If you would want me to come up with more reasons on why this collab should happen, hit me up. I can give you a whole model/plan of what I have envisioned.)

  • @tinyfoxtato6252 right but first both Rare and who ever owns One Piece for gaming and I'm assuming Oda all have to approve it which isn't just as simple as adding into the game

  • @otherfanboy I agree that in this "essay" I made it sound a lot simpler than it really is. Getting permission from Oda is gonna be the hardest part. Which is exactly why they should reach out NOW so they can get a head start on the project, if they are already working on another one.

  • I thought there were 8 pieces, not just one?

  • @tinyfoxtato6252 Rare has to feel that it fits in their universe too also they could be work on something already but until it's close to release it may have to kept quite

  • @otherfanboy I agree. At the end of the day, it is Rare's choice, not mine. I was just thinking that if we could get enough public support, then maybe we could sway their minds.

  • I don't really see it as a good fit, sorry.

  • @foambreaker May I ask why?

  • @tinyfoxtato6252 doesn't always work a chunk of the player has asked for pve only servers and rare has said no but I do love the idea I'm watch one piece at this moment

  • there appears to be a significant crossover between fans of SoT and One Piece. I've observed that for years.

I largely focus on risk/reward, environmental impact/maintenance, that sort of stuff so admittedly I go very easy on collabs/themes/etc of content because I generally feel that as long as it serves people I don't have much to criticize about it.

I view this specifically like monkey island except with possibly quite a bit more overall appeal as a theme.

Rare does a great job on collabs, people that get involved in the content generally have good things to say about the experiences.

Worth the limited resources? people will disagree on that but for me personally it's all good. I enjoy sailing around and the freedom of play, I've never been too picky about content as long as it's balanced and as long as the environment keeps around things I enjoy like emergent spawns.

With the ones we have Rare took the concept and added their own art so it would match SoT but with OP the art is kind of the thing, it is a big part of the brand. I don't see them wanting to have it changed to match SoT and without significant change it really doesn't match even if the two share common customers.

Just don't add some stupid power up like the dragon fruit unless it is in a instanced TT type environment.

    Cosmetics all day baybee
