Disappointing Female Skeleton Curse Cosmetics Hidden Behind Huge Grinds.

I have also just been made aware that this is 'After the Ritual of the Flame, sink Guardians' Faction ships while flying a Grade 5 Reaper's Bones Emissary Flag.' - So you need to either become a level 5 reaper and then dive, or sink 2 ships before your 3rd will count. Then you are in the hands of RNG if your 3rd ship will just be an honour fight.

I really hope this is just an oversight.

In my opinion they need to give everyone who did the grind some special reward and then redo the entire rewards structure, it fails terribly.

Hi @BurnBacon I understand that, I am actually and insider and thus see what they have planned for the up and coming seasons. These are not connected to seasons though and can be altered at any time, as they did with the ship/pirate milestones.

As a female I would just like to see us represented with this curse. Every other curse you can wear your chosen pirate clothes however this is the only way in which you can be seen as female through the skeleton curse.

To me its very disappointing and reminds us that females aren't always welcome in spaces like this - Which I hope is just a major oversight by the development team.

This post sounds like a troll. Skirts are not "female" cosmetics and pants are not "male" cosmetics. All pirates have the same clothing options.

a player that is female expressing their view from their perspective as a female player is substantive as the intent is to help encourage more access/options for people with preferences that are often underrepresented in design.

That intent also would serve all that share the same preferences.

To the op, This space as an overall environment has a consistent record on trying to maintain a mostly clean environment to keep it welcoming to those that follow ToS, including gamers that are female. Cosmetics are a slow moving process in the game, more options do happen over time but it does take time. At some point there will probably be more cosmetics for HG and hopefully some serve your preferences as well as others with similar preferences.

@alienmagi Alien I can assure you that this is not a 'troll'. Yes no clothes have a gender but as an older female I had seen how females are discriminated against and this inadvertently is doing so. As I have said before there are FIVE other trouser/short's available to unlock for you skeleton curse. One of which is to simply board a skeleton ship, which is very simple to complete. There is one skirt which is hidden behind in my opinion one of the harder commendations for this faction. If there were an easier commendation to achieve a skirt/dress this would be a non issue.

I would also like to make it known that the majority of the SoT cosmetics are reskins/colour changes. Would it be that difficult to swap out one of the trousers/shorts for a skirt?

@WolfManbush Thankyou for articulating the point I am trying to make: I just want to feel represented and when you see the options skewed in such a way as 1/6 its very disappointing. Then you come to realise that with RNG and the way MMR works it could be years till you complete that commendation.
