No matter which order I try to do the events leading up to digging up Dougie, my shovel always catches air. I reset the tall tale three times over but nothing I tried let me dig up the boney boy, I feel like I must be missing something somehow even though I've tried following multiple guides. I can't get all the commendations as it stands please help or fix this!
A Pirates Life Tall Tale - Cannot dig up Dougie
Same, ironically, starting A Pirate's Life popped my LeChuck achievements that've been buggimg for people aswell, only to get to Dougie and dig at thin air, tried different spade, alt f4'd and rejoined, used statue back to checkpoint, still no Dougie, reloaded and went through the caverns again and did everything upto dropping the cage, still no Dougie.
I've only just started playing this game and I'm severely disappointed from such a big brand name. Had issues in all the Monkey Island tales.
Having the same issue. Tried it with 4 friends, none of us could dig. then we all 4 tried doing it solo to see if that fixed it, and then tried 3 more times adjusting the order we did things based on different guides. no luck. I submitted a ticket but if anyone figures out a work around I'd love to hear it.

@the-guardian-gg Don't give up just because of this one bug. I love the stories in the tall tales this is the first bug I've come across and I'm sure they will fix it. you can still finish that tall tale without Dougie, he's just part of the commendation. skip him for now and go to the light house and finish the tall tale so you can unlock the next one. it's a cool story. Happy sailing!
@era2361 my guy you can still complete the tall tale or just do one of the other 19 available. Just give it some time get patched. Plenty of other activities to occupy yourself with in the meantime :)
@ummekasten thats the big issue and why this bug is way worse than others, the commendations you get before reuniting the captain with his body have to be done in order.

I received a response regarding my ticket (568725) that the team is currently working on other fixes and this one has been added to their queue for the "near future". So we just have to wait for them to fix it.
