Fast Travel

  • I love watching the beautiful Scenery of Sea of Thieves but for experienced players, it can be frustrating getting from point A to point B especially if another Island is across the Map, I would suggest a mechanic called Fast Travel to fix the Problem. If you unlock a Captain Ship you can unlock Fast Travel. Each Outpost should have a Fast Travel Station and depending on how far you want to go the price of fast Travel will Increase. However, If a Ship is under attack they cannot Fast Travel in order to prevent ships from abondoning a fight. I know this feature would bring a lot of players back to the Sea of Thieves, as a player of Sea of Thieves for nearly 6 years. The Mechanic of Fast Travel would boost the player count by twice the amount. A lot of people that I have played with complained that the game in itself to slow. It takes nearly 10 minutes to get to an Island Across the map, which doesn't seem like a lot but when players have to constantly travel long distances it can annoy them. I hope that the devs at Sea of Thieves can add this feature as it could make the community a lot happier. Thanks For Reading My Suggestion.

  • @baby-yoda9822 Travel is a non-issue. If you’re bored while travelling between islands, speak to your crew mates, sing a shanty, fish.

  • Obvious troll

  • This would be a great way to make commodity runs relevant again... LOL
    (¬‿¬)

  • What would be considered "under attack"? That G5 reaper brig beeline to my G5 Athena is attacking.... even tho it's still 5 squares away...

  • Make it so you can’t travel with your loot on deck, and if you do you can only do it once every 30min

This wouldn’t bring back anyone. Or boost. It break stuff

It’s like people using the portals to run away

Agreed, I don't understand why people would even play a ship game if they don't like sailing the ship.

  • So people doing a world event have to be wary of crews a long way away that can come to the closest outpost in a jiffy ? No thanks.

  • adventure is the journey to the destination

they've long tried to create the random encounters and happenings from point A to point B because the random and unknown is what leads to exciting, interesting, thrilling, and memorable situations and scenarios.

  • @baby-yoda9822 Some gamers don't have the time to get into a lot of pve encounters it can take a couple of hours to finish a single voyage It can be a way to complete more voyages or complete more tall tales as it take forever to complete to original tall tale commendations

  • Adding to fast travel you cannot travel to islands that have ships already present on the island

  • @baby-yoda9822 finally in order to prevent people from constantly coming back to the same island. There will be a cooldown for fast traveling.

  • The only way this would make any sense is if it was limited to outposts and people were forced to change seas, keeping track of other ships on the server would be impossible otherwise. So, pretty much the current "scuttle and change seas" option without the randomness.
