Hi all,
Only recently started playing with friends, but we've been having problems with ship cosmetics.
Upon applying them and logging out, they're missing again upon logging in.
Is there a save option or anything that we are missing please? Or anyway to fix the ship cosmetics so they doesn't reset each time upon log in?
As we wanted to purchase some bits from the Pirate Emporium, but unsure whether to purchase now with the ongoing ship cosmetic problem.

Good luck with this. I still can't equip ship flags I earned well over a year ago from servant/guardian levels. They show as being locked or completely missing. So ship cosmetics are always hit or miss.
That said, you asked if there was a way to save them. Yes, there is, if you own a captained ship. If you do not own a captained ship, or if you do own a captained ship and don't save your cosmetics, they will reset by default on the next server you join. I'm not sure if you are PC or XBox so I don't know exactly which keybind it is for you. But it's pretty self-explanatory to save them to your captained ship. So perhaps the issue here is that you don't yet own your own ship? If not, there's a goal to work towards. Best of luck and welcome to the seas!

I do have a captained or rather my own ship and I'm on PC. Plus the same with my friends (own ships & on PC), who are also having problems with ship cosmetics unfortunately.
I've been going to the ship customisation chest & applying the ship cosmetics, which works up until I log out & log back in... whereupon the ship cosmetics are missing/reset again.
However that sounds great that you can save your chosen cosmetics to your captained ship, is the option in the ship customisation chest or menu to save the ship cosmetics permanently in that case?

@methodpisces The option is in the ship customization chest. When you apply the cosmetic you want, there's another keybind (while you are hovering over the cosmetic) to save it to your ship. You have to save each individual piece to your ship. It used to cost gold to save, but now they should all save for free. I'm on XBox, so I'm not sure what the keybind is on PC. But if you take a look at the screen it should tell you. Or perhaps it's slightly different on PC. I'm sure someone else here can help you more specifically. But if you look you should see it. Let me know if it works for you!

Just wanted to say a BIG thank you!
We had a look & spotted the option to save individual cosmetic pieces to the ship first. Then we applied the cosmetics again & all is working when we log in/log out of the game.

@methodpisces while applying the cosmetic in the chest there should be a option at the bottom of the screen that says “save”
