Saving the ship.

  • I'd love it if my ship customization could be saved at least so I'm not wasting time continuously putting it all back on every time I login.
If you wana reset loot each time fine but can the voyages and story quests at least get saved along side the gold and renown please, I don't want to have to keep doing the same quest over and over because my quest progress isn't saved.
And honestly I'd love my food I collect to be saved too, I'll obviously still explore for good even if I keep what I got the day before, it'll just be nice to start with the cooked pork, chicken or fish that I made before I logged out.
I want to love this game but some things are a bit questionable :(

  • @vthescarred when you buy a ship you can save the customisation on it, aswell as name it. The stuff to do with supplies is to keep the game balanced, imagine coming across a crew that had been stock pilling all the supplies for months, and you've only been playing a week, they'd just annihilate you. Its the same reason they limit the supplies you can buy at the outposts

  • @rotten-rocko I did say just food but I get it.
And how do you save the boat customisation?
Is it only a high seas thing? As I'm on safer seas because I literally just started yesterday and I've not seen a save option to save my ship, I have to choose a new one every time I come back in.

Yes it's a high seas only and it's limited to captained ships that you buy.

  • @captain-coel well that just sucks :(

It's one of the carrots to leave safer seas and play higher seas.

  • @captain-coel I don't wana do PvP so guess I'll just get used to not saving my ship.
I just want to enjoy the game for its story quests.

  • @vthescarred have fun with them. But pvp is a part of the game's design, it's why safer seas has the restrictions on it. Risk and reward.

  • @captain-coel Yea I understand the restrictions on safer seas, but why make a solo mode for solo players to enjoy then restrict them, not everyone wants to be forced to play against other people, I get it it's a PvP game but some people would just like to be able to enjoy it for it's story and quests.
But look, I get it that's not what it is, it's just my opinion.

  • @captain-coel it would just be nice to have a pirate game that doesn't force PvP on the player.

That's just not this game. It's a PvPvE game by design. Safer Seas is meant to be an expanded tutorial.

  • @vthescarred as stated above, the ship customisation saves are locked to high seas, sorry I didn't know you were on safer seas. Get some practice in and make the jump it's very fun, I'm always up for helping new players and showing people the ropes, add me on Xbox if you want a hand provided we're in the same time zones, if not you can find people on discord or lfg on Xbox, I don't recommend solo slooping on high seas for a beginner.

My Xbox name is the same as my screen name here

  • Not able to save your ship is very early days. It was a thing and that how SS works. :)
