Your own ship in safer seas

  • I’m curious is there ever gonna be a time when we can captain are own ship in safer seas I’d like to cause I wanna keep my cosmetics on the ship when I log out and then log back into the game it’s annoying to have to put it on every time I log in a new private game plus is it possible to sell to the sovereign lady as well idc about the 30% gold but it’s also annoying to have like over 50-200 loot on your boat and constantly running back and forth selling

Likely not, this is one of the bigger "carrots" for pushing people to Higher Seas. Safer Seas is meant to be a tutorial, a place for families, and tall tales. It is not meant to be a replacement for Higher Seas.

  • @captain-coel
I get that but I’m just saying it be more open and fun sailing your own ship ya know for us who play in the safer seas with all that gold we worked hard collecting. We got nothing to spend it on besides outfits and cosmetics and weapons

  • You want the pirate captain ship perks. You got to play higher seas.

Selling at the Sol is one of the many perks and it mainly created: quicker sell. But since it’s safer seas and no threats you don’t need to sell quick.

You want the perks of selling quick and showing off your good “hard earned” trinkets. Play high seas

Outside of a small initial cost into a ship, thats all any of spend money on. For the longest time, pre captaincy, we decorated the boat every session. its okay to do that.

  • @captain-coel
    True I agree

  • Sovereigns and captaincy as a whole is intended as a perk of high seas. The devs designed safe seas as an extended tutorial and a mode to do much more casual things in. It isnt really intended as a mode for players to linger in and play exclusively, and rare wants players to move to high seas eventually.

It's funny what you're saying here, because one of the concerns, especially during season 11, was precisely that if we want shorter play sessions, then we can have shorter play sessions.
So your explanation that "since we don't have any threats, you don't need to sell faster" is null and void precisely given the developers' concern.

Reading you on the forum, I get the impression that many people have very short memories.

  • You should see Safer Seas as a test tool/tutorial for players.

It won't get any new mechanics. If you want to experience the true Sea of Thieves gameplay it is on High Seas. You will have to face off other players, I'm afraid.

Weird, official stance seems to be the following

I agree with you, many people have very short memories. Besides, you can now dive to voyage directly, and you can harpoon closer to the npcs to sell, that already compensates more than enough.

  • Ney, sorry lad, Rules.

  • @zeyrniyx

Yup. And some people don’t search the forums for answers already given. I’m too lazy to find the source myself. But lucky someone did for me ^_^

You got the tools to achieve your speed of selling. Don’t need them all if there no threat or loss

Here a Question idc about the milestones etc. or my rep etc. but here a big issue I’ve seen and I’m pretty bad at it my self when it comes to pvpve high seas i totally stink at the pvp part of it cause it doesn’t teach that in safer seas only think we learn in the safer seas is the skeletons ships which is npc ship fights but don’t get me wrong i understand everyone’s opinion about the game yes i will admit im slow i have a learning disability it’s gonna take me time to get down the pvp aspect with ships and people boarding my ship as i shoot back at them it’s totally different. What if the dev added that with the npc skeleton ship fights in safer seas where some board the ships to help with that getting everyone ready for higher seas. But I will also admit I met a few reapers on high seas and I did my best to fight back but I get sunk so I run into them again and tell them GGs and they say it back and meet friendly players and not to mention they gave me my loot back which is nice of them but yes I do struggle a lot in pvp part of high seas but I’m still learning on my own I don’t let it get to me when it comes to pvp it’s fun
