Launching a channel, looking for advice.

  • Hey all, new would be creator here, looking for advice. I've been recoding for quite some time and learning editing and storytelling along the way. I'm at a point where I have multiple finished videos ready to be uploaded. My plan is to use these initial videos with scheduled releases to launch a YT channel. Of course I'm actively recording and editing more, but this way gives me a buffer, so I'm not falling behind and making my deadlines.

I think the above is a good plan, but I'm wondering how to best promote the content I upload. I was thinking about making short trailers of the videos and sharing them to somewhere like reddit. What other public communities do you think I could promote with in this fashion. Do you think this is a good plan, and do you have any suggestions on how to go about this.

I don't want to just leave it up to the algorithm. I'm not opposed to streaming, I just feel like as of right now I have zero following. So I don't think that would be an effective way to grow.

If there's another post covering these topics, I would be happy to review it.

I'm also happy to collaborate with other creators, but currently I feel like a Ruby Splashtail asking for the help of a Trophy Shadow Stormfish.

I should also note that my expectations with something like this are realistic. I underatand it will take time and effort to grow.

Thanks and See you on the Seas!
