Fix for the mouse not staying locked in game window

  • Hello everyone!

I know many here are having problems with the issue mouse not being locked in game screen.
I have 2 monitors and I had this issue last night when I launched Sea Of Thieves.

Either you install Dual Monitor Tools as LadyHaradaNiwa posted on X (Twitter) See the post here
    Or you do following method

Now I fixed my issue with making changes on Windows registry itself but I'd like someone who doesn't have Dual Monitor Tools installed and having the same issue to try following
    Image 1
    Image 2
    Image 3

Now those steps fixed issue on my side, I hope it does the same for you. Now I cannot promise 100% fix for you guys as I already installed Dual Monitor Tools on my system.
Let me know if this helped you.

  • Update. It was fixed for me until I turned Sea Of Thieves back on. So I have same bug again. It worked fine for a moment and then suddenly mouse started to go on other monitor again. Windows 11 bug only?

  • Another post I saw on Twitter pertaining to this, said you need to uninstall this Windows update. I just hope they straighten this out soon.

  • This fix appears to have worked for me so THANK YOU!! of course while testing I started to have a problem with the taskbar clicking me out of the game but that one was easy to fix. I've been having the mouse not locking since season 14 dropped.

  • @ghostdragoni The issue is bug with the 24H2 update for windows 11, its to do with gamebar thats why it breaks, you can fix the issue by installing the insiders beta version of windows 11, updates are optional too btw
