Just to report the error that in the last update of the Sea Of Thieves website the 𝕏 icon disappeared. Thanks.
The 𝕏 icon disappeared from the footer of the website

Is this good or bad?
Just an error when they updated the page, I'm notifying it here so they can fix it soon.

@quietrobot doubt this is an error, or at least I hope it isn’t.
Why would it be a mistake? they still have an account at 𝕏.
It probably happened when they updated for Christmas.@d3adst1ck dijo en The 𝕏 icon disappeared from the footer of the website:
@quietrobot companies are abandoning Twitter because it's become a cesspool of toxicity.
I didn't see any company abandon X, anyway, if Rare is going to do it I hope they confirm it this next week, or on the contrary, it is just an error on the page.

I have no idea if it's intentional or not or if they will even say anything about it, but I don't think it matters either way.
I don't follow anything SoT. I have SoT twitter bookmarked and click it once in a while to see if anything has been announced that I should know about.
Never even been to the other site but if it ever gets to that point I'll just bookmark that one too, lol.
Too much signaling all around with this stuff imo. It's just for information, all the drama beyond that is best ignored.
If they have a preferred site for the product that's fine, they don't really need to make a statement about it, imo.
@wolfmanbush it's not just SoT twitter lol. The whole platform became an AI infested joke when that ketamine snorting billionaire bought it and monetized the verification process so that he can spread disinformation while artificially inflating his tweet likes.
This is one of those instances where the free market works itself out, and if people don't like a product, they go elsewhere.
Good on Rare for switching to blue sky. Let twitter rot.

Only reason I even have a twitter account is because of SoT cosmetics lol
I've believed the design of social media in general is unhealthy the entire time it has been around.
Once a resource for communication became a market for anger I checked out, other than casual viewing when somewhat necessary.
Personal Opinion

I still think it's a simple error, but come on guys, social networks are for everyone, not just for those who think like you (like life itself) and Sea Of Thieves is for all players.
That is what Social Media is supposed to be but is not what Twitter is anymore.
I have no idea about why links are no longer showing here but personally could understand why folks/companies might want to distance themselves from it.
It is essentially the plaything of someone who shouldn't be in charge of tying their own shoelaces, let alone an actual company.

Twitter definitely isn't for everyone just based on some of the horrific stuff that can end up seen even in just casual scrolling.
I'm a big believer in molding an algorithm that isn't destructive to self or others.
Twitter is one of the platforms that is reckless with how they distribute info to people, even just the trending stuff.
Where the "free speech" part of the internet always goes off the rails is that it doesn't ever focus on the true meaning of free speech and always leans into hosting horrible stuff, including images, and letting it spread like wildfire.
Seeing the kind of stuff that is common on twitter doesn't make a person tough or open minded, it just messes with their perception about the world and other people that share it.
I'll be very brief with this and won't elaborate, because of forum rules.
But, given that the owner of said website has now accepted a government role, it's inherently a politically-aligned place. It can no longer be viewed as being non-partisan, and that may have had an impact on the decision not to promote its usage.
