Transfer my sons saved data (on my account) to his new account

  • Hi

Sorry this might not be possible, but my son has been playing Sea of Theives on my PC and my MS account for a little while now. For Christmas I brought him a new PC of his own and created him a new MS account.

I wondered if it is possible to remove the saved data from my account and transfer it to his for christmas?

    Thanks in advance

  • raise a support call and ask support.

  • Hi there,

This isn't possible unfortunately as it is all saved to the Microsoft account. The only way to do it would be to give your son that Microsoft account and you then make your own. Alternatively he will need to start a new pirate and a fresh game with his new Microsoft account.

  • @j0toro Such a shame, i cant give him that account as i use if for some of my games and it is linked to all my MS subscriptions and my MS certifications.

Even if i log a call as @mcloum suggested?

  • @littlescratch80
I mean, call and try. But j0toro pretty much explained why it won't be possible.

In a way, it would even make more sense reaching out to MS support rather than Rare's for the reasons he mentioned.

  • @littlescratch80 We've had players ask in the past so I know for a fact it's not something we can do. There are huge data and privacy considerations around it as well as proving identity and technical limitations. Sorry.

  • I don't think you can remove the data and move it, but you could possibly do something with the alias feature in Microsoft. That's how I managed to change the primary email for my Microsoft account to a different one. You can add multiple aliases to an account. You can learn more about them off of the website itself.
