There should be a new way to fight the Kraken in Safer Seas. A few suggestions would be either a way to summon it through a specific item, having to complete a certain amount of world events, or even a special Safer-Seas-only "cloud event" that allows players to fight the Kraken. The Kraken is one of the most exciting encounters in the game, however in Safer Seas, its spawn rate seems to be incredibly low. I don't mind if the Kraken becomes a "High Seas only" event, but if the challenges are available and it's confirmed to be in Safer Seas, then there should be some new way for players to experience this encounter. Even a higher spawn rate that is on the same level as Crested Queen's spawn rate or Shadowmaw's would be beneficial.
Safer Seas Kraken Suggestions
If the modification is limited to Safer Seas only. I don't care about it.
Kraken's dropped items are too scattered, and the value of the goods is not as good as other world activities.
Unable to determine the location from the sky or map.
No one likes Kraken
If it is for certain commendation goals. Please play more games. I play for 8 hours a day when I don't need to work. There will be two occurrences of Kraken.@mr-spx-ss said in Safer Seas Kraken Suggestions:

I beg to differ, the Kraken and megs are some of the best pve content in the game, especially as emergent spawns.
There have been quite a few threads since safer seas where people are looking for krakens.
Some people don't like the kraken and that's largely the people that don't want any interference in an adventure game, whether that's server hopping pvpers or pvers that wanna go from point A to point B without anything happening.

I'm not entirely sure what your point is here. "Play more games, I play 8 hours a day" is kind of a wild thing to say to someone imo, lol. That's coming from someone that has played this game a ridiculous amount.
I don't think they are looking to put much time/effort into safer seas for content tinkering but I'd rather they let people control a kraken spawn in safer seas than high seas. Keep it emergent in high seas.
My friends around me don't like Kraken, as I mentioned before:
Kraken's dropped items are too scattered, and the value of the goods is not as good as other world activities. What I said later means: when I don't have to work on weekends.
If I play games for more than 8 hours in a day, I will probably encounter Kraken 1 to 2 times.
So if some people feel that the probability of Kraken triggering in the public ocean is too low, it's just that they don't have much time to play the game.@mr-spx-ss said in Safer Seas Kraken Suggestions:

That's where there can be compromise while still maintaining the significance of a kraken spawn. A bit more controllable to some degree on safer seas without captaincy would be a decent compromise, imo.
The post is a suggestion for Safer Seas which I highly doubt will be read by the devs, but I'm at least trying. If you don't like the Kraken, then that's fine, however I wouldn't bother trying to discourage the Kraken because of its loot. I don't care about the loot, it's the gameplay. Like Megs and Skeleton Ships, they're fun to fight.
In other words, I don't see how your comment applies to my feedback for Safer Seas. Me and my friend have met and fought the Kraken 4-5 times in High Seas, but we've been playing a lot of Safer Seas (much longer than we have on High Seas) and not once has the Kraken appeared even after immediately leaving a world event. I'm only suggesting it would be entertaining if players could "summon" the Kraken in Safer Seas.

Nothin' like a kraken and meg hunt in Sea of Thieves.
I really enjoy hunting them. Especially the Megs, and their convenient timing whenever a Skeleton Ship appears lol

I've long said that Rare unintentionally created the best hunting game ever made.
The high seas risk and rarity are integral parts of why I enjoy it and why I've done it so long. Observing, figuring out patterns, rare results through intent. Krakens and megs as the win condition make for awesome risk/reward in this game.
Someone like you has it even better imo, and that is awesome.
I need the player risk, encounter rarity, and thrill of both, to enjoy it.
You are in it for the enjoyment of the content and encounter itself. I've always been a bit envious of the more pure interest in adventure.
I know almost nothing about what season 15 will be (other than it's hunter's call) but my hope is that is brings people back into the game that just enjoy playing long term, without needing to regularly take it up a notch.
