8995.5 hours played and not one sighting of the shrouded ghost. I hit the brakes for every meg encounter. So where do I rank in the unlucky pirate list?

Shrouded ghost isn't about finding it, it's about believing that there is something out there.
A trophy just becomes a paper weight, a record just becomes text, a victory fades.
Having something rare to look forward to is the long lasting value of the shrouded ghost.
Not having everything is a blessing, not a curse, in adventure. You aren't unlucky. We would be unlucky if it wasn't as rare as it is in Sea of Thieves.

But... I suppose it makes the moment it does happen THAT bit more special? Right?
@musicmee yep very special, until you realise that to complete one certain commendation you need to kill 5 of them….

Funny thing is, with the spawnrate being so INSANELY low we wouldn't even be able to tell if something is broken, i mean meg spawns where broken for over a year before the devs finally acknowledged it and the. Implemented some sort of fix for it.
