So in season 15, we know that new Megs are coming, and they weren't here before, so here is my Theory, the dark brethern, who we know is doing something because of the Dark Fortress voyages, are the ones who are going to release the new megs into the sea of thieves from the sea of the damned to lure Merrick out of hiding, to try to capture him again. And that's probably why the Dark Brethern are recruting the phantoms to get a bunch of chests of ancient tributes, they need the chests to summon the megs, but hey thats just a theory

Where is this written? I didn't play this season much, I didn't see anything about the lore of these megs.
