Will the creator crew ever expand out of twitch?

  • Let me explain, while twitch is a great place to stream I find myself uncomfortable to stream on it due to twitchs aggressive advertising policies (think thats the right word), I myself who does YouTube and would rather stay on it because I can turn ads off since I rather entertain than profit on it. YouTube does have streaming as well but there are other streaming platforms as well.

Also for others: if you know a way to fully prevent ads from being on your stream on twitch I'd love to know.

  • May I ask why ye not be likin' the ads on Twitch? I know I run a 3m ad once per hour and it be preventin' pre-roll ads and I not be seein' any audience loss. Also be helpin' ad revenue for me channel also. Usually when I see that they be started in 1m I let chat know that an ad break be startin' so go hug a loved one, get a snack and stretch and we'll see ye back in 3 minutes. I try not to do any excitin' content during that ad break so chat doesn't miss anything fun either, can't make it happen always but 9/10 times it be avoidable.

  • @skelcurseirl Fully agree. I run as minimum adds as possible and same time ensuring that the are no pre-roll ads. As I understand a lot of twitch viewers (including me) don't like when you come in channel and first what you get is ads in face before you even see actual stream and understand what's happening. It's good idea to post in chat message about ad break approaching, so I think I will implement that too to ensure letting viewers know that soon there will be ad so they can use this time doing something else
