The Hunters call has a terrible resource to reward ratio

  • I’ve noticed that Hunter’s Call missions require players to dive to specific locations, which forces them into a single-task voyage. For example, if I want to raid a Fort, I can only dive to that Fort’s location. Once the Fort is complete, I’m left with no choice but to sell or do fishing missions, as there’s no way to continue doing Fort missions (or others) without diving to another Fort. This setup makes it difficult to chain multiple Fort missions together and significantly slows down progression. Is this intended, or is there a possibility of adjusting the system to allow players to continue engaging with Hunter’s Call content more efficiently? The rewards for these voyages feel disproportionately low compared to the time and resources required. Siren Lairs often times only provide eight pieces of treasure, while Ashen Lord voyages give out only three pieces of treasure (at least the few I've done have) despite the significant amount of resources needed to complete them. This makes the Hunter’s Call emissary unique, whereas other emissaries allow for more flexible and continuous progression

  • imo the loop is more built on raid then meg then raid, or more megs

    with all the stuff in between, like fishing and random pve to keep it moving

    ashen lord is just some knife throwing

    treasury can be in a pretty safe location and pays decent

    Personally I haven't struggled to make the loop fun and rewarding but I've done this general loop for the last 5 years on my own lol. So it's kinda just doing my usual vibin' for me.

    I'm so anti-supping at the beginning of a session from a dock that I don't have either of the supply achievements. I'm very strict how I play the game and so far I haven't seen major issues to design, as far as organic play goes. New megs are solid reward currently.

  • @doccluboblivion there is not a single faction that allows you to sail to any sort of raid voyages, this is not unique to the hunters call.

    The thing hurting it right now is that the hunters call only has one other voyage, which is the fishing voyage, however later on in this season at least 2 new voyages are getting added to the hunters call.

    Also, did everyone forget, This season is all about HC and we only JUST got the 1/3 of possible updates? Maybe in the future...there be more to earn Rep/Gold....

  • It would help if HC loot were added to the tables for world events and random shore/shipwreck/skelly drop tables as well.
