I don't know exactly where I should post this

  • It's not related to Lore but it's a suggestion for this specific tab and not for SOT... About Bumping Threads, it's a rule applied to the forum in general but it doesn't work well here, extend the time limit that users can interact with a topic, this category is little used, people take longer to interact and the topics don't get dated as quickly.

I think a year is a good time frame for discussions about Lore.

  • Threads should auto lock after an amount of time also. That way it can't be brought back from the dead then locked manually by admins.

  • I always thought it was a little silly that they're so strict on that one rule. I would love to see more flexibility and common sense applied to locking "necro" threads.

Lore, as you said, doesn't date as fast. For example, discussions on the books and audiobooks are still relevant, unless they stop making them available. It just stymies conversation locking such threads.

I would also argue the same for troubleshooting threads - if something is still an issue with the game, it's still an issue. Forcing folk to create duplicate threads because something is over a month old, seems counter-productive and makes looking for solutions harder.

Obviously, if a discussion is based on out-dated information, it makes total sense to lock it. Most of the Feedback and Suggestions posts would get dated very quick.

If auto-locking could apply on a subforum by subforum basis, that would be the ideal.

  • I wouldn't have a problem with the Lore subforum just being exempt from the necro rules. The lore in this game advances at a glacial pace right now, way longer than the 30 day activity rule, so by the time something changes and makes discussion in a topic relevant again it gets autolocked.
