Own an island

  • I had this idea of a place on the map that can be the players island. Here is like an outpost, but which much more supplies. Well, you have to make it an outpost. Maybe with a system of completing things, the island will go from a lonely piece of sand to maybe a giant archipelago. The player could buy and place himself buildings and maybe upgrade it. Could also hire people to live and work in town. Also, maybe could make a place for each "biomes", like shore of plenty and the others. Would be a nice idea. Ahoy, pirates!

  • No offense, but I honestly don't see the point in Rare wasting resources and time for this. It's not Sea of Sims.

It's not a farming simulator or a crafting game. Just doesn't fit imo.

Regarding the first part - not even the outposts provide you security. Following that logic, there is no need to then add separate player island to be safe in HS.

If you want safe, that's why Safer Seas were added. Each island and outpost are essentially yours there.

On the other hand, if Rare decides to make an RPG spin-off crafting (and/or survival) game in the SoT universe (whether SP or Co-op), with a fully-fledged character creator in it, and all that stuff - I'd fully support it xD Just not for this game.

    Agree.

Game is not a similator type game. Owning houses and islands will only make the game worse. There's no time in SoT to micro manage.

Unless we talking about sails and repairs, yea, absolutely hahaha. :D That's just enough on my plate for micromanaging. Oh, and the inventory.....

    Rly don't need anything else.
