Imo the roar is wasted space on the map. The geyser and volcanoes are looking cool, but they suck. No one’s really going there. I think it should be replaced by a completely new biome. I thpught about a biome with sandy desert islands with pyramids on some if them. These pyramids could be a completely new world event, where players have to fight against mummies and a pharaoh boss at the end. The pyramids could also hold traps when active and drop entirely new loot too and of course there could be new commendations and cosmetics available.
Devils Roar should be replaced by a new biome
My issue with the wilds and the roar isn't that they offer variety of vibe it's that I think it's too harsh of a change from the overall vibe of the game.
It's tough to see stuff in the wilds and roar. It leans too heavily into gloom and doom.
Imo people would be more interested if people could see more of what is going on and if it wasn't so blah in vibe.

Devils roar is a place for players who rarely gets into pvp

I can assure you that every shorter session I'm having (when it's about 1-2h max), I'm spending it in the Roar when in HS.
Also as Bacon said - higher risk, for a bit higher rewards from loot. Once you get used to vulcano and quake mechanics, it's a breeze.
But apart from all of this, I just don't see how your idea would fit into the lore. Devil's Roar has a decent chuck of lore in it. Mummies and pyramids replacing it don't make much sense to me. Even though the idea of traps and new enemies could be refreshing, lore wise I just don't vibe with it. Especially not at the cost of DR lore.
The roar is a place solidified in the games lore, and it has tall tales tied to it, its not going anywhere. It is done very horribly, but thats not a just reason to remove an established part of lore and a chunk of story from the game, thats instead just reason to rework it to make it less annoying to do things there.
Old idea..
but i always thought itd be cool that after Flamefart is eventually defeated if the DR was to freeze over..
Icey waters, Glaciers instead of Volcanos & Frozen Lords in place of ashen lords..But ive given up on hopes of another map expansion.. at this point.. SOT2 is more likely than another expansion.
