Idear Tickets Double Gold / Double XP

  • Here’s the English translation of your text:

"After sending a support ticket, I’d like to present an idea I’ve been thinking about that could not only boost the economy through the Emporium and thus further sustain the game, but also satisfy those who don’t necessarily have a lot of time to invest due to various reasons like work, life in general, yet who, like all of us, love this beautiful game that is Sea of Thieves. Here’s the idea: Double XP / Double Gold tickets with a plan for different pricing options. Let me explain. Players could, for example, purchase 24 hours of Double XP / Double Gold through the Emporium for €4.99, or opt for other offers like 1 week / 1 month, etc., at different prices that I’d leave to the marketing and marketing development teams to figure out. I think this would be a good economic move for the game and would even justify raising all factions to level 10,000 for even more entertainment and all kinds of fun. I took the example of an MMO that, thanks to this model, has been able to secure increased customer loyalty through the love of its community. This is just an idea—if you don’t like it, I can understand, but I wanted to share it with you. And long live piracy! 🏴‍☠️"

  • Yeah 100%

  • @potdevingt Thanks dude i hope many people love this idear . I swear for the future in game

  • This would be Pay-to-Win, even if it's just for cosmetics or levels; I thi nk they said they won't be doing such things.

  • And for those who have 24 hours…this just makings lvl much easier and exploitable

  • Spending more money to spend less time in the game is not what I would call a very great idea when retention is what this game relies on currently to remain profitable and relevant.

Not having time to play the game was solved with voyage diving and better bottle quest loot. If those didn't help, then you might have to re-evaluate your daily schedule.

  • SoT has been careful to avoid Pay to Win and this idea feels like it sits within the realm of it. No thank you.

  • I have to agree with the above comments... It seems too much of a pay-to-win situation... although, I do think something like these tickets would be interesting for an in-game earnable item, even if they're really rare. Not too sure though.

  • This idea is Pay to Win for sure. I would stop playing if it came to having something like this.

Cosmetics to buy fair enough, because it's not essential or affects the game. But buying XP boosts etc, yeah nar...

  • It’s not like having a lot of gold or rep affects other players on the seas. So it’s not really pay-to-WIN. However lots of rep is a title earned that makes me want to keep playing. I don’t really know how this can be implemented without affecting progression too much. Maybe it’s only 2x gold since that doesn’t affect progression as much as 2x rep.

  • First of all, thank you all for taking the time to explore my request and for responding honestly on the subject. In fact, according to a close source I know, Rare and Sea of Thieves in general see themselves more as a business, trying to sustain their game and, by extension, their company. We could also, for example, talk about the Emporium as a whole, with color reskins of products that have already been released, discounted prices on certain items, paid customization of certain items like the recent Doubloon Sail offer in the Emporium, and so on. In any case, my perspective as a player is not in favor of this approach because, believe it or not, I love this game more than anything in the world. But this idea is more of a compromise between the player (for whom nothing would change since there’s no obligation to buy) and Rare, the company, which, with this operating model similar to what some MMOs do, could, if it brings in more profit, calmly plan the future of the game thanks to our support through the Emporium. Although I think the reskins and such show that this system isn’t profitable enough for them—but that’s just my assumption. In short, this is an entrepreneur’s perspective, not a player’s. That said, if you have any better ideas based on this, feel free to share them here—I’d be happy to read them. See you soon on the seas, comrades! 🏴‍☠️

  • I'm not necessarily against this, but it needs to come with restrictions so that you can only do it once a month / season.
