Me and a friend have been playing the new season together since the start, before the level adjust we were the same level. After the adjustment there was a difference of 5, before we were around 60-70. In some way it doesn't seem to adjust the same for all players, has anyone else seen a similar issue?

Hunter's Call Reputation Corrections
The various Hunter's Call Reputation Corrections (both exploit progress removal and prior missing progress) have now all been completed. These weren't able to be completed during the maintenance window on March 27th, but as of this post all players should now be sitting on their correct Hunter's Call reputation.5 levels during some of the bonus times could have been as little as an ancient meg or 2 and a raid or 2.
Which could have been them playing a bit on their own or a disconnect during selling or some other thing happening.
Imo it's such a small difference that it could still be accurate/consistent.
We don't have the data of what is exactly on the accounts and we really don't know exactly how they went about it. 5 levels is really close.
