Make New Seagulls Less Annoying And More Of A Gameplay Mechanic

  • I think the new flying rats seagulls that follow the ship are extremely annoying. As a solo slooper it can be an auditory distraction when you're reliant on listening out for the old seagulls at flotsam and sunken wrecks.

    While in an ideal scenario, I'd love the option to be able to mute specifically these pests seagulls, I think it might actually be better to turn them into a gameplay mechanic.

    Similar to how other factions have random voyages from bottles, books, and such, I think it would be neat if these vermin seagulls actually lead you towards something related to Hunter's Call, such as a high level fishing spot (one with 3 of the highest value Treasured fish) or a sunken wreck with a lot of valuable fish in barrels.

    Just follow the direction the winged varmints seagulls fly off in.

  • They are definitely an accessibility issue right now. People with vision impairment rely on the seagull sounds to help find the flocks for various voyages and activities as the flocks can be difficult to spot in certain areas and at night. Now I hear them when there is nothing around and I get confused. I wish they had included the option to turn off their sound when they released.

    I remeaber when I was modding wow trought map editor and addnig stuff like bats was just one object with bats on infinite loop.

    21 years later here we are with infite bat loop as season feature true gaming experience.

    I am an audio engineer, I know how audio mixing works, thank you. They are not on a separate channel to the older seagulls.
