Ventriloquist Dart

    I have found it difficult to compromise when disguised, having to switch from using text chat instead of voice chat when hiding from other crews. It is very easy for others to narrow down where I am. Could we have a ventriloquist dart in the blowpipe loadout that allows you to project your voice via the dart for a period of time, with the effect disabling if it is dislodged by a hit from a weapon?

    I had thought that an eavesdrop dart would be cool, but there would have varying results as players use text chat or a third-party voice chat outside of the game to communicate.

    Not a bad idea but I feel like it will get used in bad ways more than anything. As in, toxicity and spamming

    I think this could be a way for certain players to be toxic towards you or others, without you being able to get proof in order to record and report. Not a good idea. Eavesdrop dart is not needed, as in-game chat is already either used by players, or not.

    Not sure about text chat but even phrase chat is directional and will give away your position (roughly) if crews have audio devices to track it. Why do you need to speak to crews when disguised?
    It does feel like at best this would be to troll and at worst others have already mentioned.

    I wanted to talk with other crews but they attack me when I don't want to attack back, so hiding from them and the skeletons/ocean crawlers they fight is useful. I do not want to type every line out, so I use my voice, but I cannot move very fast when disguised.

    The other use for it for PvE enemies is to distract them, luring only works if they can see the dart but a sound could cover a wider distance and draw their attention to it from far away.

    I only thought of it as a way to disorientate others, like that sound effect dart as an idea mentioned in the Sea of Thieves 2024 Preview Event but that hasn't appeared, I am not sure if it was too complicated to make. I thought that this idea would be better and easier.
