Scatter shot damage cap

  • Scatter shot:

*4 shots that do 20% hull damage each capping at 40%
    *Shortest range
    *Minimal damage to player
    *No knockback
    *Uncommon

    Regular cannonball:

*Single shot that does 60% hull damage uncapped
    *Longest range
    *Can one shot a player
    *Good knockback
    *Literally everywhere

Outside of niche situations or spamming them on a high wave you're far better off using a normal cannonball over a scatter shot.

Scatter shot having a 40% damage cap implies it's designed for opening fights which makes no sense considering fights with competent crews always start at a range.

I believe the 40% damage cap was an impulsive overnerf kinda like what happened to the grapple gun on release.

  • Yeah defiantly needs a boost. Knockback and more damage.

I have seen players just ignore multiple hits from the Scattershot.

They work best on skeleton ships.

  • Exactly what they said!
P.S: We don’t know each other!

  • Remove the damage cap and its fine I think.

  • Bro what, have you ever nailed all 5x 4 shots decktop? Or been on a ship getting slammed w/ em? It’s like that of a keg going off tbh, it’s so loud and jarring. I love using em’ tbh.
