New Ship for 6 players

  • "Add a Historical Ship "Nau" – Bigger Than Galleons – for 6-Player Crews!"

The Ship Nau was a larger and more robust ship than the classic galleon, used by the Portuguese in the 16th–17th centuries. With 3 masts, heavy cargo capacity, and superior size, it dominated long voyages and trade routes, becoming an icon of maritime exploration.

    Suggestion for Sea of Thieves:

The current 4-player crew limit can be frustrating for larger groups. Introducing a Ship (Nau), historically bigger than galleons, would solve this! Features could include:

    • 6-player crew capacity: Sail with bigger squads of friends or communities.
    • Size & Power:
      • Larger deck and hull (reflecting its historical role as a giant of the seas).
      • 6 cannons (2 more than the galleon) for intense naval battles.
      • Slower speed to balance its firepower and size.
    • Unique Gameplay:
      • "Cargo Hold" mechanic for storing extra loot.
      • Multi-step repairs (e.g., teamwork required for mast fixes).

    Why This Matters:

    • Historical Accuracy: The Nau’s size and dominance over galleons would add authenticity.
    • Social Flexibility: Perfect for streamers, clans, or players with large friend groups.
    • New Challenges: Managing a bigger ship with 6 players would create fresh PvP/PvE dynamics.

  • Remodeling the current ships, the shape of the sails and the structure of the ship being something fictitious in the game, which doesn't match what it really was. It doesn't make sense for the sloop to have two floors and the brigantine to have only one floor. The sloop having two floors makes gameplay more difficult as the internal space is small and cramped for PvP, especially on the stairs.

  • While a large ship would be fun, it has some issues.

Balance, server limits are big problems.

  • That ship would have 1/3rd of the server population on it. Which would be broken.
Also, 6 people on a s hip would just be broken in general. Imagine solo or duo slooping, and 6 people roll up on you.

    Nah.

  • It's hard enough to gather a good crew of 4 for a gally, that 6 crew ship would be a nightmare.

  • Barely anyone even plays Galleon ships.

  • Current ships are all that's needed. The balance is near perfect as it is, bigger ships are not needed.

Maybe just create an Alliance and grab the burning blade to accomplish your 6 man boat dream.

  • 24 person man o war for the win.
