Let's say that a crewmate is already the first one on the map table and has control over panning and zooming. I come along and interact with the table to get the same top-down view as them. If I hold down the left trigger, my character's finger extends and points at the map. I can use my thumbstick to move my finger around, and I can pull the right trigger to tap my finger on the map.
- Would up to 3 hands obscuring the map be too much?
- Should hands be semi-transparent if hovering over any island or text?
- Would this unnecessarily add to the amount of information that needs to be passed between players over the internet (packet latency), if voice chat can do the same job faster?
- Should this be a non-verbal alternative for players without voice?
