Installation problem

Hello. Privateer GrumpyKittanz here! I have been having problems with my install of the game and thought to bring it to attention and see if maybe there is a fix. I still had the Alpha installed and it would refuse to update to beta. So I thought "Hey, I should reinstall it now that its now Beta yay!" But as I was downloading it, for some reason it would inexplicably stop at random amounts of downloads done just saying there was an error.. no more information.. just an error. So I continue it. Went at this for about 2 hours before it finished and its finally installed. I go to hop on the game, and it was missing the icons to click on to pick a ship. So naturally I cant play it. There is no "Fix file" Option to the game, so wondering how to fix it beyond trying to reinstall again to try again.
