Here are some of the issues that my crew and I experienced over the Second Scale Test.
- At one point we had collected 8 or so chests, including a Grog chest which had us excited to see how much we got. But when we returned to port and turned everything in, we noticed we did NOT receive gold or experience from turning them in. We took note of our gold and level and relogged to see if that fixed it, but it did not. Not sure what happened but I couldn't find anyone else it happened to, so that's an issue I'd be looking out for as it could upset some people.
- Audio lag one, there are times when game chat is not working at all so it renders some crews to have issues.
- Audio lag two, after sinking a few ships, my crew and I started to notice a trend that we could hear the crew(s) that we just sank after they had used the mermaid to re spawn across the map. It happened 70% of the time when we sank someone. We were able to hear them trash talk or make strategies of how they were going to seek revenge on us. So it's probably something to look into.
- This one is more of a issue than a bug I have experienced, and my crew and other players seem to agree. This Scale Test my crew and I had experienced being spawn killed more, when someone did manage to board us. I don't know if you guys can 100% prevent this but maybe also add a few more spawn points around the boat maybe? Like outside behind the Captain's quarters, in the clothing/vanity/weapons corner, in the crow's nest, etc. It wasn't a huge issue for us but it happened twice and we recovered. But we could see people getting really tired or mad for being spawn killed/griefed on the full game. Spawn killing is something a bigger crew would be able to use and abuse against a smaller crew, so I'm mainly trying to throw it out there to maybe look into the spawning radius of player or something?
But overall, no real complaints from my crew and I. We all are eager for another Scale Test or Open Beta, and if neither then the Full Launch! We have planned to stream the game on launch and see how high of a rank we manage to get before falling asleep after pulling all nighters and power napping.
I personally have been promoting the game to my friends via Xbox and in person and I have about 25~30 people already pre-ordering or looking into the game more as it is now in their interest after hearing about my stories and talking about it. Thank you guys for such a great game, can't wait to see the full thing!
