What do you mean a doubloon coin and a digital pack? Theres a different pack besides the black dog dlc?

@theunknownd Best Buy does have an exclusive Doubloon coin. Probably something they crafted with MS Help. It is not something that is shown in-game, more of a collector's item for a physical copy. I have not seen any other retailers offer it.

Do I have to pre-order the digital version or the physical version to receive the coin or it doesn't matter? Also, The black dog pack says (Digital) So, I have to buy the digital one to receive the dog pack? Would I get the coin if I buy the digital version?

@theunknownd I do not know specifically about the coin. The DLC will come via an Email code physical or digital copies. I ordered a physical Xbox copy for my nephew and I was told it would ship with the game.

@theunknownd Get the digital copy if you plan on playing on PC, it too comes with the coin. The digital copy looks to play anywhere and I cannot confirm it is the same way with the physical copy. I would suggest others respond if they know for certain.

Sea of thieves says Xbox one but you can play it on windows 10, Works the same way. ^^
You get the physical copy of the game then you can link it to your Xbox account, When you sign in your Xbox account on the windows store in windows 10 you can download it.
(I'm not 100% Sure though)

I wanted to make sure I got the dog pack when I pre-purchase the box copy of the game. :P (I tweeted sea of thieves to confirm, If not then I gotta buy the digital one)
Edit: It's best to pre-purchase the game digital anyway, I did and it told me I get the codes in email and I pick up the coin at BestBuy on March 20.

Yeah, I'm not sure but I'm pretty sure the physical copy is just for the xbox one and you can't play that version on PC? I bought the digital and I think I need to wait till March 20 to get a key. I thought it told me ill get a key in an hour after I purchase it.
Did you got a key after an hour or so or you gotta wait till release day to receive the code?

Nope, The email never arrived for me with the code.
Should I just wait for March 20 then they will send me the code?

Also FYI, as far as I have understood, only the digital version is PlayAnywhere. Physical versions would be platform specific.

I'm guessing when you pre-order the game on the Microsoft store I think you can
preload the full game (Because the game is linked to your microsoft account) and download the beta (if you didn't got invited to the beta) But if you pre-order the game somewhere else then I think you got to wait.
I suggest ordering the game on best buy because you'll get a coin to pick up at your nearest best buy store on March 20.

The physical copy is XBOX ONLY!!! Careful about it. Only the digital version is Play Anywhere.
