Cant use a 2nd weapon and cant equip another weapon

    This started earlier today and I can only use one weapon at a time. Does anybody have a fix for this?

    Don't know how to fix but my friends and I have an issue like this very often where we randomly cant use anything in our inventory expect like a banana and can't use either weapon, only way to fix is to leave which is super frusterating.

    I've played all day and night with with the weapon issue. I have played hours and hours being gimp'd. lol

    I have reported this bug to Rare, as I am sure others have.

    Some players have said that when they die and come back it was fixed. That didn't fix it for me though. It's worth a shot.

    I have found a fix for the Xbox One however I’m not sure exactly what I did in the following series of things that actually changes it but after reading some other post I tried killing myself which didn’t work.However after switching weapons back and forth randomly from the weapon locker on the ship I noticed the 1 slot emblem stuck on two weapons.I randomly swapped weapons in and out of both slots until eventually I was left with the basic sword and a random weapon.Then I went to the store on an outpost and did the same there out of curiosity ending with the basic sword and a blunderbuss and after killing myself again it worked.Im sorry this is so long I hope it helps .(Also I was in solo when I tried this)

    Yeah, i'm still having the same problem. Yesterday it started for me, tried everything to fix it. And within 24 hours, still no secondary weapon... Starting to get annoyed. :(

    Happens to me as well.

    Here is the temporary fix:

    Equip a shooting weapon in the first (only slot) you have.

    Find a convenient way to die

    You will have your sword back upon respawn.

    I have also had this happen to me a few times. I did find that if I hard shut down the game from the xbox home page and restarted it, it usually fixes the issue

    So, it seems to me that it just doesn’t recognise the secondary weapon inventory or allow it to persist....

    I have the same problem on PC... Restart the game doesn't help.... only 1 weapon slot...

    Im having constant issues with this amymore. I can only have 1 weapon and the second weapon slot is blacked out.....

    Got the same problem from time to time. Also sometimes animals (pigs, snakes) don't load in. Please fix

    @griffster95 I had to fight all night with my cutlass. It made me learn to love it, but it really sucks when you need something ranged and have too kite your a*s off.

    I usually restart Xbox app and game. However, this does not always work. I'm guessing it will be fixed on Tuesday maintenance.

    @dirtynakedninja That just worked for me on windows 10. Thanks! Just randomly switched weapons with the lone one I had equipped and got two weapons back. Hope that helps anyone!

    Im still having that issue too. even with the last update. This is new, for me, not seing in alpha or beta... i hope they fix shis asap...

    If you change your weapons until you see two highlighted 'green' in the armoury (even if you can only equip one of them), and then kill yourself/die, it seems to fix it.

    I've had this issue recur every time I've logged into the game for the past few days, and that's reliably solved it each time.

    Last updated cause this issue so wait for the next hotfix this makes the game certainly unbearable to play one weapons is like playing handicap.

    If you equip 2 weapons and cant switch just die and it should Work :) It worked for me :)

    Same issue but only happening since the update. Only one weapon leaves you a sitting duck.
