So my crew and i were fighting a stronghold, when another boat attacked us. We sank the other boat at least 3 times before they left us alone, we got to the boss and killed it when the server changed and left us with a key and no door to open it with. So we currently have a key sitting our boat waiting until another raid pops up.

I had a similar issue happen to me as well. We had spent about an hour and a half fighting off sloop after sloop at the stronghold. We finished the stronghold then left with the key. We always take the key and hide it on other islands to come back for after a few quests and the heat dies down in the area. As soon as we got the key hidden on another island the server just up and changes on us. We go back to see if the key was there and sure as poo it is gone. WOW. At least give us a warning or something.
