Sooo been stuck on this riddle a while. It's on old faithful and goes 'To the North Beach on legs that weaken, rest a while and hold up a beacon'. I've gone to the most Northerly beach on the island and tried everything I can think of (I'm raising the beacon with right click) I've tried sitting then raising it, sleeping then raising it, breaking my legs then sitting then raising it, etc... to no avail.
Any suggestions welcome cause I'm about to go mad deserted on this mind quest.
I think you are suffering from the same thing I was. The good news is I discovered the solution on a Reddit post.
The 'trick' is to click and hold your right mouse button, i.e. keep the right mouse button held in, don't just click it and let go.
I hope this helps. I know how frustrating it is. I had to cancel so many voyages after wasting tons of time trying to work them out, and not realising I had to hold the mouse button.
@themuckypaw I've tried running around with the right mouse held down the across the entire beach and had no luck so far :/
@ironuzuka I can't find the exact spot then as I've tried standing still and holding my lantern up. I've looked at other posts and can't find answers there either.

@astarof-666 I've not done this riddle but comparing the language of the riddle to others I've solved, when it says 'To the North Beach' it may not actually mean it's on the north beach. I think 'to' might actually mean 'towards', so it is near the north beach but not on it. Good luck.
I'm tempted to go and have a look just now. Give me ten minutes to look and I might come back with a possible solution.

I have almost never done riddles in that zone.
According to the riddle, it is on a beach, so I would discard any elevated zones (that island has many). I do not think the beach is very big, if lifting the lantern in each area of the beach does not work, then it is possible that it is a bug.
That is the only thing that occurs to me.
Typical, I join a server to hve a look. Server is laggy, I start at the opposite side of the map and then have to sail through a storm to get to the island and nearly sink in the process.
I am now on the island and am having a look around. Firstly I am guessing from the clue that we are looking for something that has 'weak legs' near the north beach. There are two thing's I see so far that might be related. There is a cannon tower in the water, east of the north beach that has dodgy looking 'legs'. Although I kinda doubt it will be there. A more promising find might be, at the highest rocky point, which is near the north and you can see the north beach, there is a skeleton at the top who looks like he has collapsed while climbing to the top, so perhaps he has the weak legs. Stand above and shine the lantern, might work?!
This is all I have so far. I'm going to check a bit more and if I see something I will let you know.

I don't see anything other than I mentioned in my previous comment. I do see the severed leg that Loki TDD mentions but I don't think that's it.
At this point, if it's not the collapsed skelly at the top rock, above the large rocky arch, then I'd give in. No point in wasting too much time on it. Go do an easier one. :)
@themuckypaw yup just found the colapsed skeleton too, there are also some other severed legs south of the first one i found through the wooden fence atop the hill
@loki-tdd I almost hope I get this riddle at some point so I can test it, but to be honest if it's not one of the above then I'd give up and move on, as I have done with a few 'unsolvable' riddles.
@themuckypaw the clues can be a bit ambiguous in their wording, had a crew mate dancing around one a pile of kraken bones with a lantern because it said "bones" then i found a rib bone, as in singular, a little further up the coast and it turns out that was the "bones" we were looking for
@loki-tdd lol, yea 'ambiguous' says it well. I pride myself as a puzzle solver, something I've done from a young age, but yea the person(s) that wrote the riddles needs better language skills.

Agreed. Hopefully OP hasn't quit the voyage in frustration, although that's a long shot as the threads a couple hours old now . Want to know if it's bugged or not.
Try looking 'near' the north beach for anything that could reference 'legs that weaken'. The clues aren't always at the mentioned location.
IE: there's a clue to find the anchor 'at' (it says at) the kraken-slayers grave but there is no anchor at the grave. There is an anchor around the corner and one could say it was 'near' the grave.
