Why does everyone think the skelly waves are gold?

Or that thrusting a sword forward while knee-deep in water doesn't temporarily turn you into a jet ski.

This gave me a proper chuckle!

  • Nothing oxidizes in seconds in water and reverts as soon as the water runs off. Their gold exoskeletons are obviously electronic and short-circuit in water, they even make sparks. Gold is an excellent conductor so it all makes sense that way.

  • Hey guys, what colour are those skele's again?

I wish ppl would use more logic. seems like the government is succeeding in dumbing down the world .. Rust is a term for corrosion of iron compounds . if you know anything about anything you know that gold does not react to oxygen, or water for that matter. Therefor gold will never rust.. #brasskelliesconfirmed

Wish i could down vote the F out of this

Yup, such a know-it-all comment. We all passed Chemistry at High School, buddy.

    Well they aren't iron....

Why is the rust brown then? Brass actually oxidates green. So if you want to knitpick about things, they're more likely to be goldplated iron skeletons :)

  • I nearly wet myself laughing at this whole post. Especially the reference to the jet ski and sword. So no one, has yet to question why they are gold in the first place. The discussion over realism as to what is or isn't oxidized, rusted, or shiny enough. Questioning conductivity via sparks present in water, reflection against iron and on and on, yet we are all cool with the fact they are metallic skeleton in the first place haha!

I'll use the same logic the next time I shoot myself out of a cannon.
Or when stopping a Galleon-sized ship from full momentum to halt with an anchor ;-)

And while we're at logic... brass does not rust (one of the reasons most fittings on ships are actually made from brass).
But neither does gold, so why bother? :D

To be fair we're also playing a game where the only sustenance are bananas and you can play a Hurdy Gurdy with a hook hand.
