Keyboard and mouse support on xbox

  • SoT is already cross platform, so if xbox players are playing with pc why not add keyboard and mouse support. I can’t afford a gaming pc but at least let me use a keyboard and mouse on a game that we already play with pc players. It wouldn’t be unfair in any way. Please add this, thanks.

  • xim apex works great with xbox. I play mostly on PC but play on the box also using xim and works pretty good. Bad thing is you would need to shell out about $100 to get it. But worth it in the end.

  • @HappyPup9232734 That would be a dream come true but something dark is holding it back.

@xgodkevin an emulator will not give you the experience in the same way as native. that's a patch, I've heard that it's not worth the mouse wheel among other things.

  • @viejvs It is technically an emulation, but its the best available. I've used xim from the very beginning and with the latest apex model, it's just about 1:1 ratio, not 100% but very close. It's pretty amazing.

  • Xbox doesnt support kb and mouse yet. They will one day though.

Funny thing is playstation does, and if you plug in a mouse and keyboard when playing fortnite, it translates the pad buttons to keyboard bindings. What I mean is it says 'X button' to accept, plug a keyboard in and it switches it to 'enter' seamlessly. And fortnight isnt even crossplay.

And SOT is forced with all the downsides of pads vs keyboard mouse and console players cant do anything about it but possibly shell out on 3rd party hardware in an attempt to level their playing field

  • It would be so great to have native kb/m support on console. Please do it, devs!

  • I second the suggestion op, xbox could use kb/m support.

  • That should not be alone in this game, it should be in most titles (with the approval of the devs)

  • There's limited keyboard support, you can use it to change weapons/items lol

But honestly I'd still stick with the controller, I don't really see the appeal of MnKB, fun fact, the controller has two aiming sticks, just so happens that one moves your character aswel

  • @wc-mattman dijo en Keyboard and mouse support on xbox:

This is totally true, but I'm not comfortable at all playing like that. I would like to play anywhere and play anything too.
