So sometimes I'm on a sloop just doing some merchant quest. I get to my designated Outpost and a galleon is already there. Wouldn't it be great if you could say I'm peaceful and all I have is animals. So I was thinking we could have some ways of communicating peace and spread these ideas among the player base.
My suggestion is to have the Bilgrat sails equipped because the toasting tankards would make a good symbol for peace, also it's not a ship design you see equipped very often. Having animals on the back of your sloop, or bow of ship can convey your just running some merchant missions.
So that galleon at the Outpost you need to go to might see these things and decide not to shoot you as soon as you get in range of their cannonballs and kill all your animals.

The Merchants code has been around for a while.I always use the bilgerat hull and sails so I fear you might see me as friendly but I'm not always. I do however always try to use diplomacy. I'll try to board and check for treasure first. You're allowed to hand over the treasure and keep any livestock. Problem is often people dont stop for a check (cant blame them) and start shooting at us (can blame them for that)
