The Hungering Deep - Loved the fight, loathed the lead up

  • With a whole armada, we finally slayed the megalodon. The battle was great fun! Loved every minute of it, even when our sloop was eaten, and I had to swim over to one of the three galleons, right behind the megalodon. When the deed was done, the surviving galleons all sailed back to Merrick, where we had a fun bit of celebrating.

What wasn't fun were the "fetch quests" leading up to it. Sail here, then sail there, then sail here, and then sail back over there again. What would have made that way more fun is if each non-tavern location was heavily guarded by waves of skeletons and sharks. Give us a series of challenges leading up to the main event. As it is, it's just tedious until that giant fin surfaces, those glowing eyes appear, and those rows of sharp, pointy teeth are heading straight at you.

  • @therealsl0p0k my only real issue with it was the fact that the journal pages (presumably from 1 single book) were 3 individual books. My favourite part was probably unlocking the scar set, which required being bitten by it.

Do you have to be bit in the water, or does it count having it attack your ship, sending you flying and nearly dead?
