A friend and I played for an hour and a half or so last night. We spawned at Plunder and saw a Skull Fort up immediately miles away at Keel Haul Fort. Anyway we made our way, stopping at Lost Gold Fort etc to pick up explosives and supplies en route.
We arrived at Keel Haul to find another sloop on the scene and we worked together to take down the first couple of waves.
A galleon then approached and parked up without firing on any of us, there were 8 of us from 3 ships all fighting the waves which was pretty cool.
It was tense as our ship was the closest to the island so the other players would come on our ship to restock on ammo, we had to keep watch as they would occasionally go towards our ship with a gunpowder etc.
Anyway, eventually I managed to kill the Captain and pick up the key and I was in 2 minds, share the gold or take it all!? I decided to take it all and ran back to our ship - me and my friend set sail with the key hoping to get away and return later in the confusion but we were getting shot at by everyone else (on cannons on the island) so I decided to head back to the Fort and share the loot.
Anyway, this is the fun part, as I get back to the island I see both the galleon and sloop sinking. They had parked in ridiculous positions and their ships had taken cannon fire from the skeletons during the fighting and now filled with water. I shouted to my friend to get back to the island quickly and started unloading the fort on to the beach before either of the ships could return!
We managed to get everything bar a marauders and a silver ornament on board before a sloop got close so we left those 2 items, set sail and saw the sloop park up on the fort.
We wanted to lose the sloop at the fort as we made our way towards Sanctuary so decided to change course for Golden Sands but there was a sloop parked up there as well. Direction change back to Sanctuary in the hope we can just unload quickly and we see a galleon in the distance.
I told my buddy to jump off at Sanctuary with the Stronghold Chest and I will sail away for him to mermaid back to me, somehow he fell off the ship and had to swim a long way to Sanctuary carrying the Stronghold Chest and nearly died from sharks. To try and help him I turned and came back to Sanctuary and parked up.
We managed to get rid of everything on the ship just as the sloop from the fort arrived demanding to inspect our ship and telling us how they needed money for their efforts. We naturally obliged and laughed as they killed us calling us M***** F*****s when they realised we had cashed in everything.
