A friend and I set sail in a Galleon and after (rather dangerously) filling it with as much treasure as possible, made our way back to the nearest outpost.
As we approached land, a small Sloop was in port, and due to our very strong need to land ASAP, we abandoned our typical attack-when-attacked stance and opened fire to scare them off. The ship hastily left port and once it went behind an island far off, we docked and began to unload our treasure. That's where our mistake was made. We doubled our money and spent roughly five minutes shopping for clothes. We b******d around for a bit and went off down the dock, and just as we did I began to admire our boat and mentioned its stability and just how homely it was (it's dumb im just sentimental.)
My friend was looking through the Merchant's missions as I did this, and I noticed that the ship was leaning slightly, and walked closer, thinking it was the sails when i realised it couldn't be as them as they were straight.
That's when the ship went vertical and sunk.
The little b*****d of a Sloop sneaked past and fired a single cannon ball into the ship.
