Was a bit surprised when the Kraken struck me while sailing solo on a galleon.
Of course it sunk the ship which had 6 chests aboard. I quickly returned to the spot of the attack, in fact the tentacles remained until I was about 30 seconds away.
I had the spot exactly, so what happened to my chests?
I dove around the area deep, spyglassed the surface 360. Chests were gone and no ships could have taken them.
Is this what happens if the Kraken sinks a ship?
@simplkindoman I believe chests slowly sink, so maybe you were just too late to get to them, and didn't dive deep enough.
@fantome-of-blue Actually I was back at the sinking spot within 3 min and chests from a wreck first float slowly to the surface then after several minutes slowly sink.
I do believe I thoroughly searched the area the chests were gone.
Have you ever searched a Kraken sunk ship for loot?
@simplkindoman treasure and other items start sinking to the seafloor when it takes too long for people to pick them up. and the kraken doesnt only attack big crews. it just attacks galleons
@simplkindoman the Kraken only appears to Galleons, regardless if you're solo or full crew.
Unlike Meg. That appears to all kind of ships.
I have never been attacked by the kraken on a solo sloop, I have seen a duo sloop get attacked by the kraken. Was running from a galleon around golden sands outpost when the galleon started chasing me, short chase into the wind and a duo sloop came and fired on the galleon. The galleon was now distracted, and I dropped off my loot at golden sands. After emptying the boat I decided to go back and not leave the crew that was helping me (deliberately or not) to their fate. I look through the eyeglass and the sloop is suddenly circled with tentacles, the galleon parked outside the sludgy black water watching. Its possible the kraken only spawned because the galleon was nearby, but the tentacles were definitely centered on the sloop. I tried to help but fighting the kraken solo is not something one should take lightly lol.
